Chef Bruce Yelner left his engineering career and received an apprenticeship at La Robespierre in the 8th Arrondissement in Paris. The owner of the restaurant also helped Bruce get a stage at Maxim’s and La Boule d’Or. Currently, besides helping friends in the restaurant business and doing a bit of his own catering, Chef Yelner loves cooking for friends with adventuresome palates. His repertoire has expanded from Paris to include the cuisines of Italy, Spain, India, New Orleans and Mexico.
Chef has created a menu for Cindy's Italian Supper that is reminiscent of Sunday night suppers at her Grandfather's house in West Virginia. "As a personal chef and enthusiastic diner, I am a great fan of Cindy's wines," says Bruce Yelner, Chef. "They are the very definition of food wines." Yelner will include classic Italian-American dishes to allow Cindy to reminisce a bit, while she's giving insights into her wines
Antipasti paired with your choice of Passion Blend or Chenin Blanc
~ Polenta crostini with Fontina cheese and sage
~ Shrimp Scampi Bruschetta
~ Frittata della Nonna with potatoes, roasted peppers and pancetta
Segunde/Main dish paired with your choice of Teraldego or Connect Bordeaux Blend
~ Braciole di Manzo, Stuffed and rolled flank steak served with handmade pasta and served with sausage, meatballs and “Sunday Sauce.”
Dolce paired with Blanc de Noir
~ Tiramisu, Marscapone custard on coffee and rum, soaked ladyfingers sprinkled with cocoa
